- Clean beads with plain water regularly to remove dust and impurities.
- If the beads appear whitish or dry, it is a sign that they need oiling. Use a light coat of almond or coconut oil to prevent dehydration.
- Regular oiling helps maintain the hydration of beads and prevents fungus or insects.
- Avoid leaving beads neglected for long periods; consistent care keeps them healthy.
Energising the Rudraksha
- For a single bead, chant the respective Beej Mantra
- For combinations or malas, chant “Om Namah Shivaya” (universal mantra for all Rudraksha)
- You may also touch your Rudraksha to a Shivlingam and chant “Om Namah Shivaya” 11 times to infuse energy.
- For further energization, you can keep the beads in a deep freeze once a month overnight, then oil them the next day before wearing.
