Shiv Mala

The Shiv Mala is one of the most important Malas in Hinduism and the realm of spirituality, it’s known to help with meditation and spiritual growth. The Shiv Mala possesses one bead of 1 Mukhi (the South Indian variant) and a Mala of 108 beads of the Indonesian 5 Mukhi Rudraksha. The 1 Mukhi Rudraksha is incredibly rare and precious, embodying the spirit of Lord Shiva himself. It bestows the wearer with the supreme one’s consciousness, peace, and bliss. The 5 Mukhi Rudraksha is the most common form of bead but popular among the masses. The bead is even blessed by the Kaalgni form of Lord Shiva. The Shiv Mala instills a sense of calm and meditative focus. This immensely important piece of Hindu folklore is great for achieving the first level of meditation and upgrading to the second level of meditation with the much-coveted Shiv Mala.

The Shiv Mala is great for those who wish to improve upon their meditative practices and wish to live a peaceful and happy life & feel closer to Shivji. 

• Wash and oil the Rudraksha with almond oil once a month using a soft brush and chant ‘Om Namah Shivaye’ before wearing it the next day.
• Remove it during sexual intercourse and funeral visits.
• You can remove it while eating non-vegetarian food or drinking alcohol and wear it again later.
• Women can wear it all the time, even during their menstrual cycles.
• To energise it, touch it to a shivling and chant ‘Om Namah Shivaye’ 11 times. Perform a Rudrabhishek of it when possible.
• Do not wear or use a Rudraksha Mala worn by others. Keep a separate Mala for Japa and for wearing.
